My Vet told me that I needed to schedule a teeth cleaning for my little pooch. OUCH! I don’t like going to the dentist, so why does my furry friend need to go? Her teeth look great to me. Well, maybe not great, but acceptable, I thought.
I have been looking for articles on why our pets (mainly dogs and cats) need this procedure. Honestly, I thought I might find one that said they really did not need it. Unfortunately, I only found ones that strongly favored it for health reasons. So I hadn’t really thought of that part. I have had bad teeth, and I remember what that felt like.
Here is a particularly good article from the AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association). I hope this helps you.
